Space for Nature

The way that we manage Little Leat is inspired by Permaculture. We try to work with nature, encouraging wildness, using no chemicals, accepting the plants traditionally called weeds as part of nature's diversity. A diverse environment will support more life than a monoculture. Every creature, plant, and fungus has a part to play in the food chain, even if we don't understand what it is. Therefore, the crops that we grow are grown alongside spaces that we set aside for nature to do its thing.

How many frogs can you spot? They will become valuable members of the team when they're big enough to eat slugs.
